The ECOEMPOWER consortium met here for the official project kick-off with over 20 representatives of various project partners from six European countries.European countries. 23rd November 2021, online: For the second time, the annual conference of the transnational research platform "Joint Programming Platform Smart Energy Systems (JPP SES)" took place. High-ranking speakers from science, industry, and the European Commission exchanged project results, possible goals, and solutions within the framework of the platform activities. read more

13th October 2021, online: In the extended program of the EU Sustainable Energy Week, more than 60 participants discussed together with speakers i.a. from the European Commission the possibilities for project-related cooperation outside of funding and project durations. read more

15th September 2021 At the two-day conference of the Platone research project, around 300 participants took a look at the results and challenges of flexibility in the power supply system. B.A.U.M. Managing Director Ludwig Karg moderated the second day of the event, which focused on the role of energy communities in the energy transition. read more

21 April 2021: Since early 2021, B.A.U.M. has been providing support for ETIP SNET - one of the central platforms for the implementation of the European Strategic Energy Technology Plan (SET Plan). At the launch of the new series of ETIP SNET Regional Workshops, B.A.U.M. moderated the panel discussion and two forums in digital format. read more

25th March 2021: Together with seven European partners, B.A.U.M. is working on an IT-based tool as part of the EU project REFEREE, which helps those responsible in politics and business to evaluate the benefits of energy efficiency measures beyond the energy dimension. Now, the committee accompanying the project met to discuss the potentials of the tool. read more

19th November 2020, online: B.A.U.M. aims to establish a long-term collaboration between the four EU projects of DECIDE, edgeFLEX, FEVER and Platone by creating a broader community on flexibilities. Participants of this first kick-off meeting agreed on follow-up workshops to further discuss the different topics. read more

26 May 2020: At the end of the ALLIES project, B.A.U.M. Consult discussed with the partners how energy efficiency can be financed in Europe in the future at the virtual conference "Fostering Local Energy Transition". A whitebook on the implementation of the Regional Energy Efficiency Cooperative (REEG) concept was also published. read more

The changes in the production and consumption of energy pose new challenges for grid operators, but also offer new opportunities. As part of an international research team, B.A.U.M. Consult is investigating how so-called microgrids in the Alpine region can lead to more autonomy in the energy sector. read more

1st October 2020, Brussels B.A.U.M. is further expanding its international activities with the EU-funded Platone research project. After successfully submitting a joint research proposal, the Platone consortium now met for a first kick-off event in Brussels. read more

19 May 2017, Graz: An entire week experts discussed at the forum “Smart Energy Systems Week Austria”, the Austrian flagship event on energy transformation. B.A.U.M. Consult was decisively involved in the conception and represented within the programme. read more

03 May 2017, Munich: Together with 15 partners and 41 observers from the Alpine Space Area, B.A.U.M. Consult Munich/Berlin is supporting Public Administrations in the homogeneous deployment of electric mobility in the Alpine Space. The project e-MOTICON was launched in November 2016 and will run for three years. read more

24 September 2015, Berlin: After three years of research in the area of activating and engaging end users of energy in smart grid projects, the S3C-project consortium hosted its final conference on the 24th of September in Berlin. The main topic of the conference was the publication of the final version of the web-based S3C toolkit for consumer involvement. read more

15 September 2015, Berlin: The EU project FINESCE successfully tested the applicability of FIWARE standard software components in the energy sector at seven European trial sites. At the project’s final conference in Berlin the FINESCE Smart Energy Platform, which was developed within the framework of the project, was presented. read more

3 May 2015, Sonthofen, Allgäu: The town of Sonthofen has a new attraction for bicycle tourists: Sonthofen’s first mayor Christian Wilhelm together with Dr. Huber Lechner, managing director of the local utility “Allgäuer Kraftwerke GmbH (AKW)” opened the new charging station for E-bikes at the Biberhof, which is located close to Sonthofen in the Oberallgäu. read more

12 of March, Vienna: The ERA-Net Smart Grids Plus, an initiative of 21 European member states, has officially started with a kick-off event in Vienna on the 12th and 13th of March. In the framework of this five-year programme, B.A.U.M. Consult together with two other partner will be be representing the Era-Net Smart Grids Plus support team. read more

26 April 2015, Aosta Valley: The AlpStore conference in Aosta Valley marked the successful conclusion of the EU research project AlpStore, which focused on energy storage and sustainbale mobility. With B.A.U.M. as the lead partners, the AlpStore consortium consisting of 19 partners from seven countries in the alpine region developed a concept for modelling comprehensive storage solutions: the STORM concept. read more

11 November 2014, Essen: Mobil.Pro.Fit is a national offer by the B.A.U.M. Group for the establishment of corporate mobility management. Corresponding projects are being started in eleven pilot regions. The German Government supports the Mobil.Pro.Fit initiative in the framework of the national climate protection initiative. read more

15 May 2014, Dortmund: In Germany, ÖKOPROFIT (ECO-PROFIT) is the most widespread environment management system implemented in regional networks. The results are remarkable: the participants are able to decrease their energy and resource costs and, at the same time, to reduce their environmental impact. read more

1 November 2013, Berlin: B.A.U.M. submits the final report of the multiyear research programme E-Energy to the German federal government. B.A.U.M. was in charge of the accompanying research and evaluated the results of the six pilot regions for the final report. Various simulations were tested involving more than 4.000 households. read more

22 April 2013, Bad Reichenhall: The multiparty district assembly passes the integrated climate protection concept developed by B.A.U.M. The concept enables to halve CO2 emissions and generate an added value of 1 billion Euros till 2030. read more
