Final conference marks the end of the project FINESCE

15 September 2015, Berlin: The EU project FINESCE successfully tested the applicability of FIWARE standard software components in the energy sector at seven European trial sites. 3 May 2015, Sonthofen, Allgäu: The town of Sonthofen has a new attraction for bicycle tourists: Sonthofen’s first mayor Christian Wilhelm together with Dr. Huber Lechner, managing director of the local utility “Allgäuer Kraftwerke GmbH (AKW)” opened the new charging station for E-bikes at the Biberhof, which is located close to Sonthofen in the Oberallgäu. read more

Kick-off of the European initiative ERA-Net Smart Grids Plus

EU-project AlpStore successfully concluded

26 April 2015, Aosta Valley: The AlpStore conference in Aosta Valley marked the successful conclusion of the EU research project AlpStore, which focused on energy storage and sustainbale mobility. With B.A.U.M. as the lead partners, the AlpStore consortium consisting of 19 partners from seven countries in the alpine region developed a concept for modelling comprehensive storage solutions: the STORM concept. read more

E-Energy – B.A.U.M. hands in the final report

1 November 2013, Berlin: B.A.U.M. submits the final report of the multiyear research programme E-Energy to the German federal government. B.A.U.M. was in charge of the accompanying research and evaluated the results of the six pilot regions for the final report. Various simulations were tested involving more than 4.000 households. read more
