Platone - PLATform for Operation of distribution NEtworks
Platone aims at defining new approaches to increase the observability of renewable energy resources while exploiting their flexibility. Platone puts the grid users at the centre. B.A.U.M. supports customer integration at the Platone demo sites and fosters the project communication and dissemination. read more
PolyEnergyNet: Resilient poly-networks for security of supply for the grids in Saarlouis
In the research project PolyEnergyNet B.A.U.M. and nine other scientific and industrial partners develop a model for decentralised control intelligence of energy networks. The project receives funding from the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy within the framework of the research initiative “Future-proof Power Grids”. read more
S3C – Empowering people for the smart energy system of the future
People make the difference in the transition to our future energy system. Together with an international consortium of six partners, B.A.U.M. developed a practical toolkit for the successful, long-term engagement of end users in smart grid projects. read more
SEMS – sustainable energy management
Within the framework of the EU CONCERTO Programme, the SEMS project started a local energy transformation in four communities in Germany, Luxembourg, Austria and Poland. B.A.U.M. had a leading role in developing the project’s concept integrating experience derived from implementing citizen energy concepts. read more
SESAM - fully electrical agricultural machines in rural Smart Grids
In cooperation with John Deere and the University of Applied Sciences in Kaiserslautern B.A.U.M. was responsible for the impact assessment of the usage of a battery-powered tractor in agriculture and for the dissemination of the project’s results. The SESAM project was part of the funding programme “ICT for Electric mobility II” funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy. read more

On behalf of the Federal Institute for Research on Building, Urban Affairs and Spatial Development (BBSR), B.A.U.M. Consult further developed public relations work for the Federal Programme “Transnational Cooperation” within the framework of Programmes for European Territorial Cooperation (INTERREG B). read more
2ndVegOil – Decentrally produced vegetable oil fuels for modern agricultural machinery
Tractors with emission level 3A can easily operate in a climate-friendly manner with decentrally produced and purified vegetable oil. A wide range of different oils can be used as fuel. The principle feasibility of emission levels 3B and 4 has been proven. read more
Econnect – Smart Farm(cility): electric mobility in agriculture
On behalf of John Deere, B.A.U.M. prepared several studies for the project Smart Farm(cility) within the framework of the funding programme „econnect Germany“. These studies contributed to the development of a mild hybrid tractor with an easily exchangeable Li-Ion battery. Furthermore, B.A.U.M. supported public relations work of the project. read more
ESINERGY: An Interreg Danube Project
ESINERGY addresses a crucial challenge in modern energy systems: managing the imbalance between power generation and load, crucial for rising electrification and renewable energy production. The project introduces pilot approaches to reduce peak loads in electrical networks, promoting self-consumption by producers (e.g., via heat pumps, energy storage, charging stations, energy communities) to balance generation and demand. Subsequently, it enhances policy planning for peak loads through a transnational strategy, facilitating replication in other regions. read more
GridCON – Development, construction and testing of a guided agricultural machine with smart grid infrastructure
John Deere, the Technical University of Kaiserslautern and B.A.U.M. worked on the GridCON project to develop grid-connected tractors and their integration into electric networks. read more
PraxTrak - Climate protection with vegetable oil fuel as by-product of animal feed production
In PraxTrak, John Deere, the Technology and Support Center (TFZ), the Technical University of Kaiserslautern, the company regineering and B.A.U.M. brought vegetable oil tractors to practical maturity. PraxTrak was funded by the Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture (BMEL) based on a resolution of the German "Bundestag". read more
Regional marketing and marketing of regional products in the Kosovo
On behalf of the GIZ, B.A.U.M. Consult Munich/Berlin is conducting a coaching and training programme for regional marketing and the marketing of regional products in two regions of the Kosovo: Anamorava and Drini. read more
